Wrapped up the Rodeo
OK - tired and happy. Bought a pink sweatshirt for me and a silver glittery t-shirt for our daughter. Sold a bunch of books. Talked to a bunch of cowboys, moms, and a few bull riders. Feet hurting - everything else is good. Til next time. . .
I write novels and nonfiction books for kids aged ten to fourteen. I love that aged reader because they are old enough to ask big questions and young enough to still be awed by the answers they discover. I have the best job! I'm also a mom, a grandma, and taught for many years. I'm feeling like sharing some of that experience.
From author Bruce Coleville sent by Edie Hemmingway - May you write with passion and courage. May your words dance along the page. May your readers hearts leap for joy.
Ray Bradbury summarized by Vacquero Girl: Just go to the edge of the cliff and jump. Build your wings on the way down.
